I had a lower back issue for a while, but lately it has barely been bothering me, but just when I declared to my Physical Therapist that I was cured and healed, I decided to ask her about this somewhat stiff heel I had the day before. She checked, and BAM! Achilles Tendon injury! Needless to say I saw my marathon dreams go up in smoke. I hope I’ll be alright in time….
My usual running route was VERY crowded this morning! Perhaps because I decided to run at 9 am rather than at sunrise, but I never expected to end up in rush hour on a Sunday morning!
After weeks of heat and dryness, it suddenly started to rain today! Just a bit really, but I’ve never seen so many people getting so excited over rain!
So, I was just minding my own business, an easy run in this case, when a seagull suddenly appeared and started attacking me! I assume he or she was protecting their offspring, but still! Suburban running can be more dangerous than you think!
This really happened!
Though I suppose I can’t be totally sure what this guy was thinking, but he certainly LOOKED like he thought he was riding a Harley 😀
Stocked up on ingredients to make pasta with today. And got a little carried away, perhaps. But good food is important, in particular when you demand a lot from your body!
Another early morning run today. Of course it is very important to be visible in the dark, which is why I tried wearing a small reflective vest. Which did not want to stay in place. Ah well, at least I was visible!
I really love running. So I find myself just thinking about it rather often, even when I am supposed to be doing something else (like, to think of something to draw!)
There is something very odd about going out for a run at sunrise on a Sunday morning, and meeting drunk (looking) people who apparently are just on their way to their homes after a night out. They were rather noisy, I think I prefer the gentle chirping of birds!
